I'm getting the temp sensor open water sensor error that a lot of people have posted.

Instead of messing with mine I just decided to replace the air and the spa sensor. I bought a couple off Amazon I replaced them both. The air sensor registers the temperature fine but the spa does not. So I simply swapped them to see if the problem would stick with the sensor or the input. Both sensors work fine when inserted into the air input but neither work in the spa input. I also plugged them into the pool input just to see what would happen. I can't get the spa or pool to register a temp. I'm a bit confused as to where to go with the troubleshooting from here. The only thing I can derive is both my pool and spa sensor inputs on the board are bad?

I bought a different sensor off of Amazon just to try one last resort. But the fact that this same sensor that works in the air input doesn't work for pool or spa leaves me wondering how to proceed.

What system are we discussing?

I think you have a problem with the Configuration settings.

Post pictures of your board and where you are connecting the temp sensors.

@ChrisLPC may have ideas.

It's an omnilogic system.

I have this spa flow sense sensor I can't delete (error attached) since I couldn't delete it I assigned it to external input 4 or something like that.

I'm a bit confused by this programming of the sensors. Am I able to plug my spa temp sensor into ext input then just program this in the Omnilogic and tell it that it's located here rather than de spa?

These all have labels but what is the point of you're able to then later program the Omnilogic where the sensor is located?

Maybe @ChrisLPC can check how temperature sensors should be setup in a dual body system.

So uh... Had no idea the pumps had to be running in order for the temperature sensors to register...
Yup, without the pump running and water flowing past the water probes in the pipe it cannot get a valid temperature. The pipe could be empty with the pump off and no water flow.

Right but the Omnilogic won't even show the temp it just shows - - so this entire time I thought they weren't registering.

You can put them on any temp sensor block besides air. Just make sure to assign them correctly.
Thanks I thought this was the case! I also found this service menu which shows the sensor temps all the time for troubleshooting.
