Pump chirping sound

Hard to tell, but sounds like bearing noise. Any leaks on the pad? Feel under the pump to see if there’s moisture. The other potential cause is some debris stuck in the impeller. With the pump power off, open the lid, pull the basket and feel for any debris. If no debris, spin the impeller and check if it feels gritty, sluggish, or if the feels like a flat spot in the rotation.

Thank you. I'll try that. The sound started today or yesterday. Yesterday I did vacuum the pool and clean the basket.

I noticed a wet area but it might be from me taking the basket out. Will check tomorrow. Thank you
Wet area below the pump is telltale of a seal failure which can effect the bearings. Be very mindful of deliberate wet spots (I.e. pump basket cleaned which released water) vs general wetness. Please report back as you investigate.

Hi. There are no wet areas below the pump. There was a long thin stick in the impeller. I removed that, and the sound is less pronounced but still present. Any ideas and thank you?
Hmmm. I’d really go over the impeller with a fine tooth comb. With a stick previously lodged in it, there could be debris still jammed in the other vanes, or part of the stick still broken off.
