Wanted to share info on a person who sells rebuild parts or will repair your inside propellor motor for the warrior SE or similar kind of pool cleaner. Took apart the motor and cleaned. Also blew with air compressor. Worked a few times.....

Did not want to replace or order the entire motor unit. Contacted this guy and shipped the individual motor that was not working and turn around time was quick. Brushes were very worn when I opened the motor. Did not know enough to do it myself.

Interesting. I’m having to make this decision as mine seems to be going slow or stops soon after startup. This is the 5th season and I hear thats about what you can expect. I’m wondering if I can get the same life out of some of these cheaper options. $1000 for 5yrs is too much. But $500 for 4yrs I would be better. Or I could send the motor to this guy.

I have replaced my large tires on both sides too. They seem to wear out quickly. Check to be sure there isn't any hair around the propeller and also pull out the motor unit and put it right back in. Not sure if it sometimes gets out of line. I love it except fixing it every season. 3- 4 yrs old, been taken apart about 20 times trying to touble shoot ever time it decides to stop!

I see you are in Columbus. Our season is about over (I don’t have a heater) so I may try to fix it as I won’t have immediate need now. I think it’s the motor for the impeller going bad. I’ve cleaned out all obstructions but still has problems. I’m not always seeing the vacuum cloud at startup.

I just ordered a rebuild kit from the same seller! Great service and shipped it out within an hour of me paying. No complaints.

His already rebuilt motor looked like a great option as well!

Just an update. When I put the impeller motor back in I must’ve swapped polarity somehow. This results in the impeller going the opposite direction and air being sucked in from the top of the robot instead from the bottom. Robot wouldn’t climb walls or pick anything up. And it would do a bunch of wheelies. Anyway Garrett from pool bot medic was awesome and was easily able to tell me the issue and answered all my questions over text. I flipped the wires and its back to normal.

Full disclosure…. I did that too (well, I flipped the housing, not the wires) :)

Easy fix and now I’ve etched proper orientation marks in the black housing, brass cap and aluminum base for any future work.
