Pump Basket Lid Gasket

So I opened my pump basket lid last night to clean out the basket. Then this morning it was sucking air. Opened lid took out gasket and relubed it (Leslie's Pool & Spa Lube), and good to go.

So you all relube gasket each time you open lid ?

This is first time this has happened to me.
