Hi all. Got a reading of 275 on my calcium. Going to add but as this is the first time I’ve had to add, wanted to confirm. Pool math says I need about 5lbs. Planning to broadcast across pool while pump is still running for a few hours.

Given the recent hot sun I had to add some liquid chlorine to keep levels up. Was down to about 1.

1. Is there a limit to how much I can add in one day?
2. How long until my readings will be affected by the add to see where I stand?

PS. Add stabilizer on the regular

Thanks!

275 calcium is ok for plaster pools. No real need to add more.

What is the CH in your fill water?

Your FC is definitely low so add 1/2 gal of liquid chlorine at a minimum and run the pump or brush to mix it in. If you have one of the test kits that we recommend then post up a complete set of test results.

Thanks. Heading out of town for 6 days so want to get it in there before I go.
