Going to be leaving on vacation for 5 nights with nobody to watch the pool. My thought is to cover the pool with a mesh/leaf cover and let the pump and swg continue to run 24/7 as usual. Does any see any issues with this based on my equipment?

Looks good to me. I would question if you even need the cover, but maybe you are getting a lot of leaves now? The only other thing to consider would be if you need to add water to your pool before you go if you are experiencing a lot of evaporation.

I always bump up the fc with liquid chlorine just as insurance incase of equipment failure or power outages etc.

I'm leaving for 2 weeks and will be turning the SWG up pretty high so FC is at least 10 or above. Should I open or close my auto cover? Not much chance of debris or evaporation.
Do you normally have it closed when the pool is not in use? What’s your cya?

close it every night, but open it during daytime.

right now CYA is 50, and FC is up around 10, ph is 7.8 since it has not have much activity, and 50's nights and low 70's day. SWG has been set at 50% for last month, but turned it down to 40% yesterday since FC is creeping up.

There is one tree that has been dropping a decent amount of leaves. That is my only concern with filling up the skimmer pretty quickly. I am not too concerned about water chemistry and evaporation.

If you want to leave the cover on to prevent debris that’s fine- you just need to be sure you’re not going to return to fc being too high due to the swg.
If you know how much fc is consumed in a 24hr period with the cover on you can just set the swcg to make that amount so it maintains your current fc without getting over slam level.
