What's the good brand of salt?

It's been a while since I've had to add salt to the pool. I remember a couple years ago there was some bad salt that I should stay away from, but can't remember what brand it was. Choices local to me : Morton, Sure Soft and Diamond Crystal.

All 3 are fine. A couple of people got bad Mortons last year that didn't appear to be salt. Just make sure it looks like salt before pouring the bag.

For DC it needs to be the additive free / pure ones and not the iron fighting (etc) ones.

I had staining with the Chlorox salt years ago. I am happy with the Diamond Crystal water softener salt

It was the Clorox! Not even an option around here anymore. I tried searching bad salt on the forum and just kept getting SWG bad cell posts. Thank you!!

Diamond crystal. They have several kinds in the water softer aisle and some have additives. They also have 'pool salt'

I bought this recently as Home Depot was out of the Diamond Crystal :
SURE SOFT Extra Coarse 40 lbs. Water Softener Crystal Salt 766663 - The Home Depot - However I did find one small dirty clump of salt out of four bags.
