Pool opening 2024

I see online what is called the magnetic stir bar magnetic stirrer. But the picture shows it as a straight piece. What i had was shaped like a cross. Is this straight one ok if i cannot find the other one. Why did the shape change?? Not sure why what i tried did not spin? Does it need to b magnetic snd if so how about the back of a fridge magnet. Those round disks??? Or am i being silly?
White pill?

I will let someone else chime in..yours is much different than mine. I just was making sure it wasn't the plastic stirrer for the powder for your FC compared to the white pill magnetic 🧲 for the tube.

Taylor uses the pill and ciblanc uses the cross. Either works the same providing they're magnetic. (y)

(They should both fit)

Hi guys. I have a question. I have been walking around my pool cardio time. Everything looks good. As u can see i am attaching 2 pics of my cake steps that have been in my pool for i would say at least since 2008 i brush them when i brush the walls etc. as you can see everything looks real clean. Just FYI i never remove them from the pool even in closing. They r quite heavy and all looks good around the base of them and the back. I do not want to take them out ever unless necessary and as stated they have been in forever. I guess i am just telling u that they do not seem to have ever caused any problems? 🙏

So you've never brushed the wall behind the cake stairs. Or under the cake stairs and the liner bottom of the pool.
No. I am afraid to scratch the bottom of the liner. Besides it is weighed down with i believe 2 bags of heavy white stones for years. But if u look real good at the 2 pics. It looks real clean. I never gave it a thought until now. The water is crystal clear even by the cake steps

🤞As u can see my numbers have been great since i met u guys. And even the area near the base and behind look clean. When i add chlorine i not only add it to the area around the jet but i distribute it around the pool and specifically around the steps all the time. That area looks really clean. And as mentioned i brush around and on the steps all the time and never do i see amy debris at all. I guess what i am saying is i will not change anything at this time. No i do brush the rest of the liner like mentioned even around the contour of the steps I brush every inch of that pool. I dont miss a beat. Doesnt the clarity of the water and the numbers show that. Check my log from just now

Cool. I have leaves and dirt clumps behind my stairs. Luckily I can move them a little and get my cool snorkel and face mask on and get my brush under it then a vaccuum. It always hides the dirt area for me and gets stuck

Now if I can get Mr smart robot (he's the rainy day one and I have another good one I also use) to stop getting stuck behind the other stairs..and the other picture of white ones are the ones I have to get behind and lift up to clean from algae and dirt and leaves. 🍁

I understand but ur pool looks beautiful as well. If u look at my steps u can see the remnants of what the liner used to look like. But the bottom is now all bleached. But clean clean and clean 👍

It's much easier to slide the stairs into the middle of the pool than to take them out. Once it's all easily accessible, take the weights out and flip the stairs around like a Rubiks cube to swish it out real well. Flip it with the back at the waterline and get all up in there with a sponge or brush on a stick. Then the wall and floor are wide open where the stairs were too. I would address them at the beginning of each season. You open so late the water would be much warmer than the early folks, which would make it more bearable.
