What's your water temp?

Just curious. I'm at 89 (way too warm...all you need is a bar of soap, wash cloth, and could take a bath). I get bogged down trying to do laps when it's this warm. 79-80 is ideal for that purpose. Pool has never been above 92. See what happens with these increasingly longer and more pronounced heat waves. Wish the chiller feature on my heater would work. The tech who repaired it the other year said there wasn't much that could be done. It supposedly has the feature but has never worked.

I use these and they easily knock off several degrees. I'm in a considerably warmer environment and my pool is currently 87. This morning it was 82.

I use an edge aerator on mine overnight and then sometimes umbrellas to shade against the late day sun when we know we want to swim after work. I don't have a thermometer (probably disqualifies me) but we do notice the temp difference from these things.

I'm not sure how this item doesn't effect the PH as this is technically aeration.

I've noticed my pH goes up a bit when I use them, so it certainly has an impact. Where I really notice the impact is the evaporation. But I'll gladly trade adding water more often and acid a bit more often for a pool that doesnt feel like a bath.

PA, NY, NJ, FL, AZ & TX all have warm pool water. Here I was thinking it was a Las Vegas desert thing with warm water. If I don’t turn the Glacier chiller on the water the water easily hits 90+ degrees. Depending upon how long I run it, I can keep it around 86*, my wife doesn’t like it much cooler than that.

Walmart… relatively inexpensive, many different types. I like baby shark water thermometer.

Glacier chiller keeps our pool from going over 83°, even when ambient temperatures are over 100°. If we get a low humidity spell, temperatures will drop into the 70s.

I went from ugly PVC misters to those Arctic sprayers. Spray from the PVC misters was blowing onto the surrounding landscaping and killing plants. The Arctics look much better and contained the spray better, but I didn’t have much luck with them cooling the pool. I’d get a temp drop of a few degrees overnight, but by mid-afternoon, my pool would be back into the upper 80s to low 90s.
