New Pool in Florida (Well Water)

We might have to work with this return. Does that piece come off? Could you secure a flexible tube to it to run through the bucket back into the pool?

The sump pump may be your best option - let's not take apart your brand new pool just to filter the water. I would get that pump going ASAP - drop it in your pool, cycle the water through the bucket. Do you have a way to balance the bucket so it dumps back into the pool? I use my ladder and a combo of ratchet straps/rope/bungee cords.

I am sure I am overthinking, but am I waiting until iron is removed before adding salt? Starting to balance the water?
If your water is at skimmer level - you can begin the chemical balancing now. The bucket isn't going to take away any of the chemical factor of the pool - it's simply to catch the iron.

Post up a full panel of chems (unless you have Pool Math linked and we can check your latest run) to make sure you're in good balance!

Update - I just pulled your logs - everything looks great!! Keep up the awesome work!!
Thank you! Should I be concerned about TA being so high? I plan on picking up Muriatic Acid today to lower PH, which if I understand correctly, will help lower TA (with aeration).

Whew....is a 4.5 drop of FC expected on a extremely sunny day in Florida? High of 94, felt like 106. Working to dial in my SWG and daily average loss.
