Salt Cell Screen?

I see one for the AUTO PILOT systems, but I don't see anything available for my Hayward T-Cell-15, so one of you bright guys need to invent one!! I'll be your first customer because I just cleaned out my cell (AGAIN) and it had a lot of debris in it. Even though I have "socks" on the skimmer and the vacuum, I still seem to get a lot of bits and pieces of plants and trees in my cell and it's a MAJOR pain to get rid of them. They get stuck in the fins and even 50PSI water pressure has a difficult time removing them. I'm thinking something that fits on the inlet side of the salt cell between the cell and the plumbing would be perfect. Remove it every month or so, shake it off, put it back in and your salt cell would stay cleaner than without the screen, filter, strainer, whatever you want to call it.

Think about it guys!

Wait a minute! Do you have your cell on the suction side of the system? It is supposed to be on the return side just before the water goes to the pool returns. That keeps everything but water out of the cell. If yours is on the return side then you have a major problem with your filter not doing it's job. If you have it on the suction side then you need to move it to the return side. Someone didn't know how to install it.

Post a few pictures of your equipmemt pad so we can see how the plumbing runs and where the SWG is located.
The SWG should be the last item before water returns to the pool. It sounds like your SWG is not receiving filter water - after the pump pushes water thru the pool filter or your filter cartridges may be compromised..

You need a photo of what's below all of this rat's nest. I guess they didn't know how to space the pipes out a bit. Can you follow the output (bottom) of the filter all the way to the cell and then from the cell back to the pool returns. The part of the photo missing at the bottom may explain that. Also, if you aren't getting all of this refuse going back into the pool then I would imagine the cell is on the suction side. If you do find that gunk gets returned back to the pool when it gets by the cell then your filter is at fault.

It also appears that the salt cell and its associated flow switch are separated by a 3-way valve.
That's not a good thing.

Post a few pics from a few different angles and from a bit further back so we can see where all the plumbing goes.
