Spa spillover barely spilling over

Thanks. I will try the exchange way. Getting so over whelmed with it all, thanks again. I will try this out this weekend when I can sit and watch it. I'll just periodically retest the levels as it's exchanging. We recently had tons and tons of rain. You'd think I'd have enough fresh water added.

Be sure to carefully read the exchange process. It takes some pre planning. A sump pump, and time.
Ok I'd like to just drain it then refill, but we can dig just a foot or two and see water. Then while reading about draining I saw the video of the pop up pool in Florida. So now I'm scared of the whole thing. I wish I had someone locally to help with all of this and I wouldn't be bombarding this forum so much

T,

It is your filter...

It is ether clogged with algae, even if you can't see it yet, or you used Clarifier or Floc and it has clogged your filter..

Tell us more.. What kind of filter do you have, and and when was it last opened and cleaned??

What 'magic' potions have you been putting into your pool?

What the heck is a "PP"???

Thanks,

Jim R.
I don't know what a clarifier or floc is. Any other ideas?

A no drain water exchange is the way to go and doesn't matter if there's water at 6". Do not check the water periodically because it doesn't work that way. It's the time it needs to exchange X amount of water plus 10% for under performance then the water will need maybe 12 hours of mixing before you can take a sample and rely on it.

Just wanted to jump back in here to say, regarding the overflow feature of the spa into the pool. We replaced an oring at the bottomed of our chlorinator (which we are now going to possibly stop using after learning about cya and pucks) the flow is incredibly stronger now! So the tiniest air leak was causing such a pressure change with the flow!
