I have an in wall ladder that I assume is metal with a coating to look like fiberglass. I have a bunch of new rust spots all over the ladder this season. Any reason this happened? How can I clean it?
You may have to zoom into to see the spots.

Not metal, all fiberglass. Probably made by Latham. Have you tried a pool brush? They could be cobalt spots from the manufacturing process. Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) can help with that as well.

I have tried my pool brush, nothing changes. I need to go to the store and get the vitamin c..Probably next week. Looks like our new grandson may be making his appearance today or tomorrow and I will be heading down to Georgia.
