spa heat maxes out at pool setting or (95). If I change the heat setting for the pool it stops at what ever the pool heat is set for. Hayward HeatPro Heat Pump HP21404T, 24000 GAL CONCRETE POOL,
PENTAIR INTELLIFLO3 PUMP, PENTAIR EASYTOUCH CONTROL SYSTEM, AQUARITE CHLORINE GENERATOR
new filter pump and controls just installed Heat pump was working OK with old RS4 controls. Pool dude says I need a
new heat pump for another $6000. I think he wired something wrong and he thinks I am an easy touch because I am old.

Raise both of those to the maximum. But it sounds like the heater is never getting the signal that the spa is on and staying on pool heat.

The EasyTouch does not give any signal with the firemans switch connection.

Both the pool and spa heat with the HP POOL temperature setpoint. Put it up to 104.

Hayward is terrible with their HP manuals. You need to get the heater to run in SPA mode.

It heats the spa up to the temp that the pool is set to and maintAINS IT there. It is getting the signalthat the spa is on,just will not go above the pool setting.

Sounds like Allan covered this above. The heater is not in spa mode.

Ohhhhhhh K ..... Are you using the fireman's switch to control the HP? If so, the heat pump needs to be nailed into SPA mode. The HP doesn't know if it is needed for the pool or the spa so needs to be forced to spa only. That is what the above directions say to do.
