hello, I’m wondering if anyone else is having issues with the calculated CSI in the app? I have been using the app for 3 years now with great success but the past couple months I am having issues with the CSI not making sense. Even if I change all the values to the TFP recommended amounts it says my CSI will be 0.76. What am I doing wrong? I feel like the recommended should at be at least a normal CSI?

This is in my hot tub, 370 gallons, fiberglass, stabilized chlorine pucks. I use a Taylor k 2006 test kit

My last results were
PH- 7.7
FC - 5.5
TA - 50
CH - 140
CYA - 10
CSI - 0.51

If I adjust the CH to be in the ideal range that will put my CSI at 0.89 according to the app.

Thanks for any help in advance.

A factor in CSI is temperature. What temperature are you using? The lower the temperature the more negative CSI will drop.
I used your data with temperature of 90F to get CSI of neg. 0.34
With temperature of 70F the CSI drops to neg 0.52

Show a screen shot of your CSI calculation by tapping on the CSI icon from Home screen

My temp is at 103°F

I used to enjoy testing now it gives me anxiety *sign*

Go back into the same log but jot down the numbers before you start juggling the numbers a bit. I'd enter 200 into the CH and then see how low you need to bring the PH to achieve the CSI you're looking for. Then you can reenter the original numbers.

This is what I calculate on my watergram, why doesn’t the app match is what is bothering me. Can I trust it for my pool and cold tub if it’s off for my hottub?

I have done this and it still doesn’t make sense. To have a CSI closer to 0 I’d need PH 7.2 TA 50 CH 150. It doesn’t add up if I put those numbers in the watergram I get -0.6 that’s not even close to each other.

Don’t leave fields blank. For salt simply put a 0 in if you don’t know. PoolMath will use a default value of 500ppm or so for calculations.

Enter a value for salt.
In the app I can’t add a value for salt because I don’t track it. Maybe I should delete and reinstall the app and that will help? This only started happening a little while ago for the past 3 years it was adding up fine only recently has it been doing this.

This is for my hottub. I don’t track salt in the hottub so there is no value to input. The app was calculating fine until recently that’s my issue. It’s literally not making sense.
