it's time to swap out the multi-port valve which will require re-plumbing. I have 2" CPVC fittings and schedule 80 piping to complete the job. However my plumbing supply house was unable to acquire the CPVC male adapters that I need so they sold me stainless steel ones. This does not seem like the right approach. I'v never seen plastic mixed with SS on pool plumbing. Yes or No to the SS? My pool is 20 years old and I just replaced the filter with an exact replacement filter. The final part of my repair is the swap out the multi-port valve. HELP.

Stainless mixed with pools isn't so stainless. No need, overkill. Schedule 80? Why? Marginally less flow for schedule 80. No pool system on a residence can approach burst strenghth of schedule 40.
