Confirming My SWG Plan Looks Good

The price of liquid chlorine has finally convinced me to install an SWG system. Reading all of the helpful advice here, I think I have a good handle on what to do, and would very much appreciate any thoughts as to whether I'm on the right track or if some changes may be better for the plan.
I have a concrete pool, approximately 22,000 gallons. It's a very simple set up with a DE filter and a single speed pump that runs on a timer approximately 7 hours each day. Using everything I've learned here, I have been able to keep my water crystal clear all summer long for the last few years -- so I thank you all immensely!
I am planning to purchase a CircuPool RJ-60, as I've read that it's better to upsize if possible. I've attached a photo showing my plan for the location of the cell, as I don't really see any other options since my piping is lacking long, straight runs. I'm assuming the return should be relatively easy to find underground with a little effort and digging.
Please let me know if you think this looks like a solid plan?
I'm planning to tie the controller to the load side of the timer, so it will turn on/off with my pump. Again, any possible concerns?
Thanks in advance for the help!

It's a bit hard to follow your plumbing, but if you say that's the last line to the pool, then you have a good plan. The RJ-60 is a great unit and appropriately oversized for your pool. Wiring it to the load side of the timer along with the pump is a good idea. You should be able to generate enough chlorine during your regular 7-hour pump run time. Consider a VS pump as your next upgrade.

Smart move. Not only does upsizing cost far less than the lifespan gained, you want maximum FC production in as little time as possible with a SS pump. This pump would pay for itself in no time with electric rates being what they are. Then it would literally pay for itself a couple times over.

The 3X unit will need about 8 hours runtime in the peak season, and less in the spring/fall when daily demand is lower. 60k is as large as they go for residential.
I'm assuming the return should be relatively easy to find underground with a little effort and digging.
Famous last words. Please accept my condolences. :ROFLMAO:

Thank you for the quick responses.

2 follow-up questions please --
1. I'm going to assume that prices will continue to rise, so I'm planning to install now rather than wait for Spring (unfortunately my season in NJ only has a few more weeks). Any special procedures for winterizing with SWG installed? I'm assuming nothing changes in my usual process, but wanted to be sure.
2. The cell and the controller are all that are needed, correct? So the RJ-60 kit will have everything I need to be operational?

Thanks!

Nothing special. I remove the cell and bring it inside and put dummy in place...but I'm "extra." Many just leave them.

Should have everything needed...except a plug for the controller, some way to have a primary power shutoff to the controller if the pump is off, and various PVC parts to connect it up.

Prices seem to have stabilized in the last couple years. The RJ45 is actually about $100 less than it was when I purchased it in 2021. One thing to consider is the clock on the warranty starts clicking as soon as it's delivered.

Is this a pool/spa combo? If so, the better location would be the horizontal line coming out of the MPV, the one with the temperature sensor in it. That way the SWG can feed both the pool and spa.

No spa connected to this system. That temp sensor is for the rooftop solar heater system installed. It's not the best picture to see the piping, but that is actually the "in" to the MPV & DE filter. I'm just assuming that the SWG should be prior to the filter and solar grids, but does it actually matter? There'd be no digging to use that spot!

Couldn't see that from first picture. SWG should be the last item in the system, not before any other item. This picture makes it clear, it will have to be in the system after the last T.
