Does the Clorox brand have metals or any other chemicals? I'm always a little worried about adding Clorox brand of anything.

I bet they’re changing the packaging or something. Definitely a good deal as it really doesn’t go bad unless it gets wet.

No - it’s actually one of the only clorox products we recommend! Their calcium chloride is ok to use too (if you need that).
I just ordered 1 bag for next season, since I'm good for this year.
If anyone needs a larger amount, or heck, it lasts forever when stored cool/dry...... Puritech @ Amazon
I don't know if you have Ocean State Job lot in your locations but they have seasonal pool supplies for cheaper than most stores including Walmart. They have the 1 gallon liquid stabilizer for $27.
that's like a 3 year supply for me.
