Alright tonight’s test has the chlorine above the mustard slam level so that’s good. It showed the smallest amount of combined chlorine - went away with one drop. So, <.5. With regular brushing, does it make sense to have some cc if the brushing is doing it’s job and the chlorine is killing what it’s supposed to? I’d expect to see that?

Don't get too hung up on CCs. .5 or even 1 can be attributed to normal operations, or because you're killing some extras outside of normal operations. It fluctuates from both processes and you may or may not time it right to see them.
Your tests are just a snapshot of that moment and don't necessarily tell you what was going on an hour ago (etc). So 1 isn't always terrible and 0 isn't always great.

We are expected to get rain thurs/fri, so I’ll be on top of the fc and maintaining it on the high end of the recommended range.

Your 90 TA is great. The full TA range is equally OK, don't get caught up on 'ideal'. (Ideal *anything* for that matter, it's just how most pools of your style respond). Manage the PH in the 7s and the TA will settle itself where it wants to ne.

What’s swimmable? I keep seeing “between your range and slam level” but 14.5 seems high. We are hosting tmw. Hoping to swim toward the afternoon. It’s been cloudy all week.

What’s up dude! Been a minute. I have a “maintenance” question if you don’t mind. Our regular maintenance includes brushing every few days. Chlorine has been in proper range since slamming (and mustard slamming) after it came down from the slam. Is it normal to have some dead algae after brushing? White/gray at the bottom. Or - is the expectation of a maintained pool to never have any issues even after brushing? I can’t figure out if that’s the point of a maintained pool, or if it’s signs of a problem.
Anytime you suspect algae, Overnight Chlorine Loss Test. If you lose FC overnight, its algae. If you hold FC overnight, it's likely environmental. I have crud blowing in my own pool right now as mother nature started shedding up by us recently, so I'm 50/50 which way its gonna go. Lol.
