First post. We inherited the pool last Fall and are facing high CYA levels (110). They were even higher but we keep adding water, which seems, ridiculous as a lmg run solution.

So we're thinking of going saltwater and if we went DIY we're assuming the SWGC would be placed where the chlorine tabs cylinder is, right? See picture.

Also, thinking of going with the CircuPool rj+ 60. Any feedback is appreciated

51,

Since you have a Jandy automation system, it will not control the CircuPool SWCG other than to turn it on or off.. In other words, it will not report the salt level or allow you to adjust the cell's output via the automation.

That said, with a 29K pool you really have no choice as you need a 60K cell..

You are spot on about where to install the cell. It should go where the tab feeder is now.

Many of our members seem very pleased with their CircuPool salt systems.

Having a VS pump should make the transition very smooth.

Thanks,

Jim R.

Thanks for this. Regarding adjustments via automation, are you referring to not being able to adjust via the handheld device? If so, I can still adjust chlorine output manually on the actual CircuPool panel right?

And I'm assuming the Jandy Stealth is the pool pump and the Pentair is the spa pump, right? see pictures.

Go easy on me, still learning. :)

You have it backwards. The Jandy pump is the spa pump. It bypasses the filter system. The Pentair pump is your regular pool pump.

Regarding the swg, you will still be able to control it via the swg control panel. The RJ-60 is a good choice for your pool.
