Another shout out to the community here, the information and help is incredible. Closed using the TFP approach and opened to crystal clear water, full transparency, I did use half a bottle of algaecide at close
Water has been filled & tested, gaskets lubed and inflatables inflated! Waiting for pool temps to reach 70 to test salt levels and fire up the SWG, using liquid chlorine for now. Weather should be good this weekend for the first dip.

There's nothing wrong closing with (non copper) algecide.

We are against its use with active algae blooms where it cannot overcome them, or it's repeated use for no reason during the season.
