So I have been quite successful in keeping a clean spa once I switched to advice from this forum - purge with ahh-some before water replacement, bromine maintenance etc.

I just had a question on how people manage cleanliness above the water line such as any buttons, air vent knobs, underneath the cover, etc. Obviously the stuff above the water line are all in a very warm and humid/wet environment but there is no sanitizer in the moisture. I sometimes find what looks like algae around the perimeter of my knobs and on the underside of my cover. Is there anyway to prevent this? Or is routine cleaning the way to go?

I would make a dilute solution of bleach and water. Use a microfiber cloth with the dilute solution and clean the buttons, air vents etc. You might even use a tooth brush.

Good to go!

I occasionally wet a microfiber rag with my adequately chlorinated spa water & just wipe stuff down. I have never had an issue with something growing - maybe because I do this?
Is this tub indoors?
