I am can't believe this (well honestly I can considering all that I found on this build), the plumber who installed my fountain pump glued the standard threaded fittings into the housing. Even worse, I found out after I cut the pressure side return fitting off of the pipe to install proper unions. I honestly am so angry right now I am shaking. It's one thing to use the standard threaded fittings, its a whole other to then glue them in place and pray no one notices until its too late. Which is exactly what happened.

You can see the blue sealent in the photo attached. I didn't notice it until I tried to remove the fitting. I did contact the PB, but we are almost 1.5 years out from having the fountain pump installed and I doubt they will do anything.

At this point I have two options that I can see, by a new casing and seal set and install the pump correctly (like it should have been with unions and NO glue) or get a male spigot to female pipe extension and glue that into the section I cut re-joining the two until the pump needs service (seals, impeller cleaned etc...) or until I want to swap pumps to keep the SWCG fed if the main pump fails for whatever reason. * Both pumps are the same make and model and "should" swap right in.*

Are there any other options I am missing?

Is this the correct volute for my 011056 Intelliflo VSF pump? I found one on amamzon for less than 200 bucks through the pentair store. I may pick that up and just be done with this.

FYI - the volute is an easy replacement (Just ~6-8 bolts) if you ever crack or need a new one.
You can also usually pick them up fairly cheap off guys who buy pumps for rebuild. In the big 2021 freeze, my volute cracked and I was able to get one free off an old boy on Craigslist. New one finally arrived ~6 months after and I sent the hand-me down on to the next poor soul for free.
