The pool company is coming tomorrow to close the pool and I am in the process of prepping by following the "How To" for closing an inground pool. All was going well, yesterday my FC was half of my SLAM target and I lowered my PH to 7.6 . Today I added algaecide and let the pump run about 8 hours. I just tested my FC and PH and my FC dropped a little as expected, however my PH shot up to 8. No rain in the past 24 hours. Of course I used up all my muriatic acid yesterday... so if I can't get to the store in the morning, is there any issue closing the pool with a PH of 8'ish? Also does algaecide make PH go up? thanks in advance.
