Hi ya TFP gang!!! Soo, I have a recurring problem where my AG pool caps keep coming undone and it seems to happen randomly to any of the pool caps. Further to this, the level or intensity of pool use doesn't seem to matter because it happens all the time. Might this indicate a problem with the structure itself? I've replaced a couple pool caps and they seem to hold. But the ones that are popping open don't appear to be damaged at all. I'm scratching my head and need to close the pool for winter next week. When I opened this year, several pool caps had opened up over winter. Is there an old thread maybe that I could consult? If not, thoughts here are welcome and hopefully can guide me somewhat in terms of what to do next.

Are they resin? If so perhaps the temperature changes/uv exposure have an effect on them allowing this to happen. Some of mine are looser than others. The are mostly there to prevent water from getting on the screws the hold the top rails down & to cover the gap between them. Mine also have screws on one side so even if they pop up they won’t come off. It sounds annoying but not dangerous to the structure. If the replacements fit well perhaps it is time to replace them all while you are able to source them.

I don't believe they are resin, but that's worth a check. And good idea on sourcing a full set while I still can!
