I have a Hayward chlorine generator power light and generating light are on but Board says zero chlorine I’ve never gotten a reading the two lights do go out and then come back on every few minutes we just moved into a house with the system the chlorine generator needed to be replaced anyhow it was old any idea what the problem is can it be the limiter?

What model cell did you install? The automation is set for a T3. Is that what you installed?
I also did the test why I put the new salt generator in a bucket of pool water reinstalled the old one is a blank nothing was being generated no bubbles at all

Off subject but the T3 is way too small for your pool.

I may be wrong on the size of the pool I am just replacing what was there originally

There is a wire that controls this valve, where does the wire go to?
The black disc is the thermistor.
The thermistor is probably bad.
Are there wires connected to the terminal block on the right with 4 terminal screws?

Where is the controller that controls the valve?
There is a wire that goes from the valve to a controller.
Follow the wire to the controller.

I’m about sure that wire goes to the control box on the wall for the solar heater control that is next to the Hayward box
When I get back to the house I’ll take a picture of it and send it thanks for your help I just ordered the part you recommended specially since it was so cheap
Setting AL-5 is for Jandy automation.
Since it looks like you don't have Jandy automation, change AL-5 to AL-0.
Also, replace the thermistor.
