Happy Friday everyone! So I’m just wondering how much free chlorine I should expect to lose every day? Before we were swimming in it it was usually one but since we’ve been swimming at it it’s been pretty consistently three. I keep it at six but it goes down to three by the next day my CC is always zero. Today though it was 2 and it scared me a little bit! The weather has been super hot and we have been swimming with the dog in the pool but I’m wondering if I should have my goal free chlorine be a little bit higher? I look at Pool Math though and for my CYA it should be between 2 and 6.
Thoughts?

A loss of 3 to 4 ppm daily is normal, particularly with a heavy bather load. There are no issues with targeting a higher than recommended FC level. You could add 2 ppm in the middle of the day after FC has dropped a bit from the target level before you swim. Just allow 20-30 minutes of mixing time with the pump running.

Thank you! 🎉
