Got it for 100 bucks shipped from Doheney’s.
Now I just need my pool installed
My PB needed a month to start and 3 weeks to build, last May. I am 8 weeks into my 3 week build and i have 2 weeks left. I'm not sure how I feel about that. Is it really 2 weeks or do they age in dog years so it's still 2 years to go ? Is PB years a thing ? It should prolly be a thing. I dunno. Now I just need my pool installed
Great suggestion. Since I use city water should I just use tap water?Nice. Practice by testing your fill water for pH, TA and CH.
Nice!
When is the estimated pool install date?
Check the expiration dates on all the reagent bottles to be sure they are about a year in the future. If not, consider returning the kit and getting a TF-100 or TF-PRO (guaranteed fresh chemistry).
Yup. Don't bother with CYA as you know it's 0.Since I use city water should I just use tap water?
I can’t imagine! It’s so frustrating I bet. A buddy of mine booked his build 3/21. They broke ground 4/1/22 and then pool is done. They are working on the rest of the yard and it’s almost complete with entire outdoor kitchen and patio zones with shelters. It’s pretty epic and they did all that in two months. My PB needed a month to start and 3 weeks to build, last May. I am 8 weeks into my 3 week build and i have 2 weeks left. Then you're golden with the test kit.Just checked the reagents. The most fastest exp date is on the FAS DPD and it’s 7/23 and the PH is 8/23. Everything else is 2024.
Thanks! A lot of this is still new to me so any advice is appreciated! For the chlorine tests (FC & CC) just use 10 cc of pool water and one scoop of DPD powder. Then each drop of the reagent 0871 will be easy to figure out--> count your drops and divide by two. Example: 12 drops of 0871 = 6ppm. Way faster and easier than dealing with 0.2 x Y...!??!

Thanks Maddie,Got some kids? Toss 'em in the pool and their splashing will bring up the pH on its own. Or run a fountain or sump pump...... I don't want you chasing numbers when they're not that bad. Here is how I raise my pH when I need to (rarely).
