Can you have inline feeder with tabs working along with liquid chlorine feeder?

I have this question because we are heading out to take care of something for about a month - really don't wish to trouble neighbors even with rewards :)
I came across a lot of content cautioning not to mix different types of chlorine - which obviously makes sense in terms of safety.

However, given something like a liquid chlorine feeder like HASA and an average concentration of chlorine in it at a given time + inline chlorine feeder for the pucks/tabs, is it still not recommended having them working at the same time?
Basically, not sure if it is dangerous when they come in contact only in original concentrations or even when already mixed in with water at certain lower concentrations.

I was thinking (since its not SWG and just a regular pool)
  1. shock
  2. brush
  3. max liquid chlorine on the liquid feeder
  4. max tabs/pucks on the inline feeder (about 8)
  5. about 5 tabs/pucks on a floating feeder
  6. have a solar ionizer as well - which I never use since its not good - but might temporarily?
  7. last week before we arrive, increase pump + filter schedule by few more hours
I do have enough headroom for CYA although it is obviously not the preferred route.
Also the weather would be in higher 80s and water level will be maintained.

Optionally (don't prefer this but only if its a must):
  1. Working on a hack to run water through a bucket of few tabs filled with water - when water is being filled in
  2. leaf net may be?
  3. OR the usual blue pool cover? (not sure if it accelerates temperature and hence algae)

I think you are making this way too complicated.

I can't comment about the merits of using your inline feeder without knowing and seeing how your equipment is setup.

I think all the acid from all the tablets you describe can lower your pH too much and crash your TA.

We just recommend floating pucks in a floater while on vacation.

If that was not enough a quick SLAM Process should get the pool clear when you return.

That makes sense. For some reason I was thinking about SLAM as a last resort but it is standard practice I guess.

Still curious about using liquid chlorine setup along with inline chlorine tab though - would that cause heat/safety issues even when not directly in contact?

Basically a HASA liquid feeder and a Hayward inline chlorine feeder for tablets.

I was thinking the liquid chlorine might run out and then the tabs would still survive a bit longer that way.
 
Pure Chlorine comes in liquid, solid or gas. You can use all 3 at once if you desire.

Be careful in what you say and how you say it.

You don't mix trichlor and cal-hypo.

Yes, you can mix pure liquid chlorine with other forms of chlorine.

Mixing non-pure forms of chlorine may be dangerous.

Sorry, I got a bit confused. Just to confirm, I was talking about Sodium Hypochlorite - lesser concentration since it sits in a container pre-filled with water - i.e HASA liquid feeder (about 8 gallons of 10% or 12.5% chlorine and rest water. I would say 50/50 ratio if not more of water).

The Hayward inline feeder for trichlor tablets is also part of the same setup.
I was only using the liquid chlorine for a while now and had not replaced tablets in the inline feeder (turned it off basically).

My question was, if I turn on both, they run through the system when the pump/filter is on.

Thanks again. Really curious to know your thoughts and to understand if this could work.
 
Not sure if this image is clear enough but this is what I have currently since I am away from the location at the moment.
The connections circled red are from the liquid chlorine feeder and the one marked in yellow is the inline feeder for tablets.

I suppose this just reflects they may not be in direct contact but not sure if it helps to determine any other factors. I can try to get a better picture later.

Also, the I could turn up or down either based on concerns if this could work.

Do you normally use the tablet feeder?

Do you have a gas heater?

Do you have a check valve between the heater output and the tablet feeder?

I can't get a mental picture of the water flow from that picture.
 
I would use a pm inexpensive floater filled with tablets plus the hasa feeder. If by chance there was a power outage the pump shuts off. Both pumps, hasa feeder and pool pump. With the floater, at least chlorine is still being added. Also, you’re not proximity close with the two different chlorinating methods. On your equipment pad, those two methods are too close for my tastes.

Normally, I don’t use the tablet feeder but there was a time it was used - before the balance was restored.

I have a check valve between heater and tablet feeder.

They are both setup as per standard individually by manufacturer guidelines. (Not very knowledgeable jargon wise 😅 but I know we went over it).
