Do you plan on just vacuuming the sand and dirt that gets in the pool to waste? I am guessing a fair bit will get in as they get closer to the pool. I would not think the blasting media is going to play well with you filter. Might even want to leave it off while there are working.

Pump is off. Plastic tarp is draped on top of solar cover and taped to coping. Should catch the vast majority.
 
Looks great! Hopefully not slippery when sealed. I used Shark Grip additive with a sealer after a few years. Not that effective. It seemed to not embed/adhere well. I just let my concrete fade to close to nothing - not slippery once the sealer was gone. I loved the look new, but am not a fan of redoing things. So plain-ish concrete it is.
