Hello-
My pool is about 14 days old. PB has 'outsourced' startup and initial month of service to another pool cleaning/service company. Communication has not been great throughout the entire pool building process, and now I've got this other 'pool guy' who is supposed to be getting us setup and ready to swim.
Here is what I'm wondering- Pool Guy came and set my pool pump to run 24/7 for the last 7 days. (As I can tell from looking at the schedule he set in the EasyTouch control panel) Did some water testing, and added some chemicals. They came back yesterday and changed the Easytouch schedule from 8am-8pm (I see this in the control panel menu), however I noticed the pump is not actually running.
When I look at the control panel on the pump itself, it just reads 0 RPM and Stopped. Based on my research, maybe the pump is no longer set to work off of the external controls? I've txt'd the Pool Guy, but he's ghosted me....
Any thoughts on how to get my pump turned back on and running based on the Easytouch program?

Chris,

See if the outside panel is in AUTO mode or Service mode. It should be in the Auto mode for the pump to automatically run.

When the pump is being controlled by the EasyTouch, the pump's display will show "Display Not Active"..

Do you have ScreenLogic so you can use your phone or PC? Or do you have a Pentair remote?

Thanks,

Jim R.

Appreciate the reply. Easytouch is in Auto mode. The pump however does not show Display Not Active.
I do not have Scree logic setup yet. (Sitting in a box in my living room.) I suspect the pump was used manually or turned off manually not switch back to being controlled by easytouch...

Chris,

Check to make sure the control cable is plugged into the pump's display head.

Nothing on the pump side will shut off the EasyTouch's control. It has to be the cable, or the EasyTouch is not set to run the pump.

For the pump to run there has to be an active schedule. There must be a speed assigned to the Pool circuit or the Spa Circuit. If the system is not in the Pool or Spa mode, the pump will not run unless there is a speed assigned to an active circuit.

Show me a pic of your LCD display.

Thanks,

Jim R.

Here are some pics. Cable seems installed correctly (it was running before). Program on Easytouch appears to look correct.

Chris,

Before you do anything, reset the panel with the reset button on the main panel. It is just like rebooting your PC, it will not erase anything. It may take a couple of minutes for everything to come back up...

What does the LCD panel say when not in the menu tree?

Should say something like..

AUTO
Pool (water temp)
Air (air temp)

Select Menu, then Settings, then IntelliFlo, then pump#1, then speeds..

Should show something like..

1/8

RPM, XXXX mine says 1200
Circuit
XXXX mine says POOL

Meaning that the 1st of 8 speeds is assigned to the Pool Circuit to run at 1200 RPM.

Thanks,

Jim R.

Hi Jim- replying back here.... really appreciate the help. It was in fact a restart that seems to have fixed it. I did eventually hear from my pool startup/ cleaner person and he said something about a software upgrade might be needed. At any rate, flipping the power off and back on fixed it.
