Just heard from my PB that Blue Surf is on backorder. Called into PebbleTec myself and got confirmation, and that they have no date for restocking. The sales person was not aware of any other colors that are out.

Wanted to post this separately as a notification to anyone looking, and maybe if people want to discuss other options. Right now we're taking a look at colors to decide whether to wait it out or roll with something else.

We are a ways away from plaster, but Blue Surf is what we chose. Hope it comes back before we need it!

Good luck! Unfortunately we were literally supposed to be on schedule for plaster today or tomorrow. Instead we *find out* today that our color is not in stock. And tile is already in so if we pick something else it's got to match...

Well spent a lot of time yesterday looking at colors and deciding that we would like Turtle Bay. So talked to the project manager again this morning and he said he received an email from PebbleTec to the effect of all "specialty colors" being unavailable. And no, he didn't know what that meant either... He reached out for clarification and hopefully timeline. I'll keep posting as I hear stuff.

Anyone else hearing anything about this?

Got a bit more information. The issue is not with the plaster supplies, but with one of the additives used. So hopefully this is a local issue here and no one else will have any issues. Regardless, they're not willing to give any dates, so whatever it is, my builder is expecting it to be an issue at the months scale.

Wow, that's a bummer. We selected Blue Surf as well and our PB has put the order in plaster. I know its backed up just mainly due to a backlog, but haven't heard anything about a materials issue yet. Guess we shall see.

Bummer, but I would double-check for yourself. There are 5 certified PebbleTec installers that claim they service Tampa on the Pebletec site. I would be calling all of them to make sure it is not just an issue with one of them. Here is a copy/paste from the PebbleTec website: Find A Certified PebbleTec Pool Builder

That's a good idea. Pebble Pros is the company our PB uses. Suncoast Pebble in Bradenton is the only one that's even close. Others are 2+ hours away. I'll try giving them a call.
