R-0013 type of water?

Hi

knocked over my R-0013 cya reagent. Will take me at least a couple of weeks to replace as TF don’t ship direct to UK.

What type of water is it? I have dei-ionised and that’s not right. Is it distilled?

R-0013 contains melamine, which binds to cyanuric acid, forming the white precipitate which turns the sample cloudy. I have no specifics about the ratio, how it is bottled, or if it's something that could even be done at home. Maybe @JoyfulNoise can confirm.

Why not just get it from Amazon? That's where I got mine.

The melamine solution is more than water. There's also pH adjusters and buffers so that the resulting mixture is acidic and will produce the correct results. You'll just have to buy new.
