Hello everyone,

My pool has now been opened for a week and all was going just great and today I noticed a little bit of green algae showing up on the bottom of the pool. Here are my stats as of this morning:
DateTarget9-Jun
FC55
CC1
FC target based on CYA5 - 7
PH7.6-7.87.5
TA60-80160
CH50-550170
CYA40-5040
Temp7878

This is from my spread sheet which I keep to follow what I do.

The only issue is that I will be leaving the pool alone for 2 weeks starting Saturday. I don't want to come home to a green swamp. I was going to bring the pool up to SLAM levels on Friday and then have someone add another jug of bleach in a week.

What am I missing here. Three days ago I added Stabilizer to bring it up from 20ish to 40. Also three days ago, FC tested at 5.5 and today it is 5. It seems like I don't have a lot of FC lose. I just started to track my Combined Chlorine so I don't know what it was prior to today.

Thank you for your guidance.

Well, if you are seeing confirmed algae now, you really need to start theSLAM Process now if you can. Why that happened can only point to a drop in the FC at some point. Good you caught it early.
Thank you and I will get SLAMing it today.

It is funny what you said as my FC did drop at the end of the month. Guess that is what I get for not staying on top of it. That will not happen again.
