Since a lot of old threads have OP’s asking if any robot will navigate & clean step/wet or sun deck areas I can offer the following initial report:
With my pool out of the box it’s climbing over essentially 2 steps to get on my wet deck & then runs around cleaning the floor & wall tiles in that area too. It also climbed on the pool length seating surface we have on 1 side of the pool without much effort. It does ‘wheelie’ around for a bit once over the step up to the wet deck but then goes about its biz.
Note: My wet deck & pool-length seating are at a water depth of 18”.
Margaret @ Marina recommended this unit to me earlier in the week. Today it arrived & I had it in the pool within 5 min. Super easy deployment. iOS App connected with zero fuss. Manual steering works, not sure how much I’ll use it, but it did work the 1st time I pulled it up & tried it.
Had been using a suction drive Pentair Rebel since the pool was built last mid-June. Initial impression of the SI’s cleaning power is way better than the less than 1-yr old Rebel it’s replacing. Way better.
