3 years ago, my 30 year old above ground pool opened up like a zipper and we decided to go without a pool. Well, after a few seasons, we decided we missed it dearly so we now have our pool back. Everything is back up and running as of yesterday. I'll be working on adding chemicals and cleaning this coming weekend.
I had a timer for the pump in the past. I want to set it up again for this one. I live in the midwest near St. Louis on the Illinois side of the Mississippi river. I know stirring the water during the daylight hours dissipates chemicals quicker than running it at night. What would the ideal schedule be for running my pump? 4 hours in the morning then 4 hours in the evening or at night? Should I break it up in 2 hour intervals throughout the day? I'm looking for suggestions.
Thanks again and I'm glad to be back.
