It likes like our expansion joint is similar to the cantilevered decking @bdavis466 mentions in: Expansion Joints and Coping. If this is the case, how far under the decking does the mastic go? I can access the mastic above the tile line just fine, but wonder how far back wonder the decking the mastic will go. Am I able to remove the mastic and reapply in a uniform way or would it be suggested to plan to replace the coping?
