Blue substance in our pool

Matt, we could solve all this if we could borrow the mass spec you keep in your pool test kit.
Honestly if I was managing a 120k gallon pool that's exactly what I would do. I have this testing done often in my work, costs about $175 $120 and will give you the whole spectrum of metals and micro/macro-nutrients. Not at all unreasonable for that kind of pool.

Disassembly is a real pain ... then there's the cost of shipping, insurance, etc, etc. I say just call it what is is ..... Smurf's have been using the pool and not being good citizens by using the bathroom before going in ....

Try the flame test if you're comfortable doing that.
