Hello,

My pool is off due to burst pipe and ruined booster pump from the below freezing weather. Now that the weather is warming up to above 60s some days, what should I do to keep my pool from turning green, grow algae, protect my pebbletec plaster, etc while waiting to get pool equipments fix? Should I still test and balanced the pool as before and just sweep the walls to mix the liquid chlorine and whatever chemical that is needed to be added for a balanced pool water?

Thank you.

While our ambient temps are increasing, the water temp is probably still quite cold, so algae growth would be very minimal if at all. Still, you can add some liquid chlorine and manually brush it around to ensure your FC doesn't fall to zero. Keep at least 2-3 ppm of FC. Wait to test any other items until the pump is moving water again.

Thank you. I'll do all the test soon and adjust what is needed. Our CYA before this storm was 70. It has probably gone down now. Hopefully, won't need too much chlorine now.
