FYI: Here is the Jandy selection guide you can see what components you need here.
Update on this, I had my new board installed this week and it's working great. As a wrench thrown into things, they installed the Rev A board and found it couldn't control the actuators. I guess maybe it was RMA'd? In any event, I bought a used Rev MMM from them for $400. My thought is that I'll sell my old board that can't control actuators (maybe I'll get $100 for it?), I'll sell the other board I posted above that I'm sure what it is, I'll buy the RS900 upgrade kit, and then I'll sell the Rev MMM board to cover some of the losses. Overall I'm happy with the system, but I'd definitely like to control it with my phone and I didn't want to pay their prices.
Question on upgrading the board though, how easy is it to program? I realize I'll have to somehow tell it everything I have, are there resources out there to show me how to do that?
It's pretty simple you can do it yourself. What RS version did you get? Like "RS4, RS6", etc.
Here are basic instructions for the Aqualink upgrade. There isn't much "programming" per se. You just need to assign the Aux ports properly. Usually you'd go in the old one before removing it and write everything down. But even if you don't do that, it isn't hard to figure out what goes where.
I think for $400 you could have gotten a newer version but no worries that will do everything you want it to do. Be advised though the RS900 is the older WiFi so you'll probably be getting it used - ebay is a good source.
FYI: Your existing boards are almost worthless. You could try ebay no minimum no reserve and they probably wouldn't get a single bid.
RS8. Sweet! Since you already have the RS board, I believe you just need the "a" package, which is just the antenna. Call Jandy tech support and verify what you need though! See what goes with rev "MMM". And once you get the web and phone interface going, sell that OneTouch for $750. That seems like what they are going for right now. You'll never use it I never use mine and am considering selling it as well.
I think, unfortunately, based on the below I'll have to replace the whole thing. Good to know about the OneTouch though!
