I just opened my box of goodies. I have a lot of studying to do :):) My pool will be filled next Tuesday and PB will get it started. I assume I should get moving and buy the items to keep my pool balanced asap. Have there been issues finding pool supplies? Given COVID I am wondering if I will have an issue. Thanks.

Test your fill water CH and TA. That will tell you if you may need acid, calcium chloride, baking soda, etc.
For supplies, Home Depot in our area carries them year around.

Perfect, thank you. My fill water will be supplied mostly from a water truck and I will use about 1000 gallons from my water supply. Thanks for the tip!

I would ONLY buy liquid chlorine (as you won't be firing up the SWG for a month), CYA stabilizer and a jug of Muriatic Acid to be ready from day one. Anything else will be on an "as needed basis" and all readily available when needed.

Do not use dry acid on plaster or SWG pools- its damaging to both the plaster and salt cell.

Go ahead and add the test kit to your signature line :) Saves us asking you repeatedly if you have one.

Congrats on the new pool!
