Just wondering... is this normal? Filling slowly due to well output - only 5” in or so (1/2” per hour). I assume all will be right in the world as it fills, but this one looked worse off than the others

One of the uprights looks like this...

I think the liner is too tight and it's not warm enough in the sun to let it stretch correctly.
Is it an overlap or beaded liner? If overlap, are you letting it out a little bit as it fills?

How much water is in it? The lack of warmth is why I decided not to install because you need that liner to stretch in the sun.

How did it end up once filled? Did you purchase and have installed from The Great Escape? We had ours put in two weeks ago. Swimming this weekend and then shutting down...

Ours is a 15x30 - I can tell you, as you already know, the installers get in and get out. They don't stick around for any issues once it begins to fill. I'll also tell you that mine is not perfect, however, the more I research, the more I find out that perfection may not be had in an above ground pool. I suspect that once filled you will be ok. We filled ours with a water truck so I didn't really pay much attention since it filled so quickly.

Yep, GE. Pool is about 1/2 full now. Filling from a well - getting about 5-6” per day.

walls improved. Now, my new concern is a small leak in the liner - but their install group says itis likely just ground water squishing out. (Because I haven’t noticed a drop in water level - just a 8’ area about a foot from the pool where the sand still feels a bit soupy)

pool turning a bit green at the moment, too... going to dissolve some cya by the hoses and probably add some bleach tonight

That's interesting. I don't recall having any sand visible that far out around the pool after install. Have you backfilled the hole yet? That might help. I've got between 4-7" around the pool backfilled - I used some of the dirt that was removed and the rest was 57 river rock. I went out about 30" around the perimeter of the pool.

We did have a very hard rain the day after install and before I had the backfill done. I did notice a very small amount of sand in one small section that must of washed out. No issue since I did the backfill.

What size pool did you get?
