IntelliCenter Web Client and its Possible Alternatives

Chris,
Yea and not only is this a problem with this UI and the native Ui's but it appears to be giving my Dash Panel UI some problems as well. It is being worked on (not referring to Pentair) but no solution as of yet.

And speaking of IntelliCenter problems (and specifically the schedule edit issue), I did hear from the IntelliCenter Project Manager via email yesterday (trust me, I have been "tugging at his coat tails") lol....
Not much to tell really but when I get a minute, I will try to put a summary together and post over in the review and information thread.

This particluar UI project is really starting to look great. Once I slay a few other dragons here on my end, I would like to try it out as well. Can't have too many UI's lol...

@rmontgomery I've been trying to follow this with interest. Is your UI working on an iOS/Android phone yet? The PoolController Dashpanel looks great on an iPad but not so good on the iPhone as of now.

Having issues getting iOS version built. I finally got a mac from someone, but still having issues since it is an older mac. I have a windows desktop version if someone wants to give it a spin.

Not sure I can be of much help there. I'm also in the final stages of transitioning/migrating from Windows to MacOS.
Thanks and great work on this particular UI!!!

Desktop version with local control (non-web) would be my preference to begin with. (y) Initiation of my IntelliCenter is probably 1 or 2 weeks away yet 'cause I'm still in pad rebuild mode... and I'll be 100% newbie to pool automation. But I'm game if you would be.

Okay, will try to get a build to download. UI for desktop is a little interesting since it's built for mobile.

Okay played around more with the Mac today and unfortunately not good news. The Mac was given to me by someone else and while it is a capable machine, I can't get the OS installed that is needed for Visual Studio due to Apple saying it is too old. I was able to get it to El Captain after many hours, but hit a wall for Sierra and beyond. I went looking on ebay for another Mac, but can't justify the $600 needed to get one. Also, I was reading that the Apple app store charges $99 a year to host the app o_O.

I will keep trying to get my hands on a Mac that can do the job, but it may be a bit. The code is on Git Hub if someone has time to build it, but I have not added the needed graphics files to the iOS project yet since I can't simulate it. Hopefully someone that already has an Apple developer account can jump in and save the day :)

Okay, another roadblock for the desktop version. Unfortunately I added some features to mobile apps that don't play nicely with the desktop version. I have been trying to figure out work a around, but not having much luck. Will continue to evaluate, but you can use BlueStacks in the meantime. I've tried it and it works well, actually better than the desktop version I had. Below are screenshots using BlueStacks...

Started new thread for Gateway and Control apps here: IntelliCenter Gateway and Control Apps

Sorry for hijacking your thread @MyAZPool
Ryan,
Please, I don't feel that way at all. I started this thread with the sole intentt of bringing others like yourself into the discussion, so that we may find alternatives to Pentair's poor track record with respect to their user interface reliability and functionality.

You, @guinness, @setsailsoon, @Gibby13 and so many others, are doing yeoman's work in effecting those alternative solutions.
Let's keep "driving on" and working together on our alternative IntelliCenter UI developments. (y)

Here's a screenshot from the nodejs-poolController repo on GitHub, pretty nice layout and should be possible to emulate. Just to clarify this project uses the RS485 protocol for communication and needs a serial (or USB) hardwired connection to the panel. This is different from the Telnet protocol that the Intellicenter has built-in and can be accessed over Ethernet (or WiFi). So I think there is probably room for both solutions depending on the need for lower level control of equipment.
Thanks for the mention of the project! After ~2 years of working on the next release (and with tons of help from rstrouse), I released 6.0 this week. The picture you posted is from 5.3 and we have now separated out the UI from the main app.

The dashPanel UI linked above is one client and I have a separate webClient UI which is similar to what you have above.

6.0 natively supports Intellicenter (up to FW 1.047 so far) and all *Touch models.

For details regarding the nodejs-poolController, the nodejs-poolController-dashPanel and related information to include setup and configuration, please see the following link.
