Hi,
After a disastrous start to the pool summer with our pump breaking. We installed a brand new pump, and got things moving this past weekend.
Bleach has been hard to find in bulk and I went through my stockpile in 2 days! Spent a whole day trying to find another source. (the local pool store-$$$$)
My numbers looked ok to start 0 FC, 7.5 PH, 30 CYA . I knew what to do! The pool started clearing up in a couple days-but then it seemed to stall....
This is my first year using the pool math app and it kept saying my CYA was too low- so I checked it again. Stupid me, did the test wrong and ended up showing 0 CYA and stupid me believed it! I added probably 3-4 lbs of stabalizer before I realized my mistake and pulled the sock full of granules out of the pool.
Long story short- my CYA level is now 90 and I think I need to drain my pool- and we're in drought conditions. I could cry.
I'm posting, hoping someone will have another solution for me.....but I know that's probably wishful thinking!
Brenda
