Ph test ?

Is their a more accurate way to test ph ? The color I’m seeing when I add the 5 drops , shake and compare , is questionable.

FAS/DPD would give .5 ppm precision

Edit never mind.. I'm not in my right mind. Of course FC is not pH!

You could use a pH meter, which will give you a pH accurate to 2 decimal points. You also have to calibrate a meter regularly with pH standards and keep the bulb moist, or it won't measure accurately.

@mguzzy FAS-DPD measures FC and CC, not pH.

Color too deep? Try using only 4 drops. And if it's practically purple, that's high FC interfering.

Duh.. Of course that's what I get for trying to multi-task. And post from my phone..

What I was going to say is before my mind made no sense ... if the FC is over 10 the pH is hard to read.. so use the FAS/DPD to see what the FC is.

Some members have spoken of a pH testing meter.

PH test was the only test I truly hated doing. A PH meter solved that.
