are there any professionals who do this? how much something like this cost? We just paid amateurs to level the ground and they didn't level from the lowest spot..OMG, now I need to start over but don't have the time right now...wondering if there are services that can do this in NJ (or people with experience who could set it up)

Honestly, the leveling is the hardest part. The rest of it is doable especially if you have a couple of helpers.

I'm from Toms River and I called EVERYONE in NJ who installs above ground pools and could not find a single contractor who would help beyond leveling the ground. I was told that installing an Intex pool is a liability issue for them. Honestly, once the ground is level, it was a piece of cake to put up the pool (except for digging the pavers and making them level). As a single mom, I was able to put up the entire 24'x12x52 Intex Rectangular pool by myself and dug all of the pavers to level myself (with a homemade water level). It took me about a week to do the entire thing solo, including the pavers.

We are in MA, so I can’t help with a rec, but our neighbor’s landscaping company leveled, set the pavers and added sand for comfort and our pool has been happily running for a week and a half. Do you have any connections to the local landscape community? That was the key for us.
