Linking Facebook login with Pool Math and TFP

So when I created a profile for Pool Math I used my FB login. However this is different from my TFP login. Is there a way to link that account to my TFP website account? Or is there a way to transfer my Pool Math subscription to another Pool Math account (the one that links to my TFP account)?

At this time there’s no way to link Facebook with TFP, and I suspect with the rate of changes in data privacy, there won’t be for some time. To display your logs it’s likely best to create a new account on PoolMath using your TFP Login and migrate your data to that account.

To do this first make a backup of your current info using your Facebook Credentials. Save it somewhere you’re going to remember where it’s at. Then, logout and log back in using your TFP info. You may have to create a “dummy pool” that can be deleted later. Then go ahead and import data into that account.

So that is what I originally tried to do. How do I import the backup? I created a dummy pool. And when I go to Add Pool the app asks me to upgrade to Premium. Then I click subscribe and it says that I am already subscribed until Nov 2020.

Please note again, I’m working off memory. This will change in the future as in the next update we’re altering/simplifying this process *cough**cough* tease.

First let’s restore your subscription. Under the About TFP page select “Restore Subscription.”

Then go ahead and find your saved backup file. Click on it and then select the “Share” icon in the lower corner. It’s the icon that looks like a box and arrow. Next scroll over to find “Import to PoolMath.” You may need to look under More even.

I know these directions suck, if you can’t get it let me know and I’ll revert my demo version back to the current version and make a video showing how to do this.

That totally worked. Thank you! I didn't realize that the import would be driven by the file. I was looking for the import option in the app the whole time.

Also whenever I sign out and sign back in I have to to do the restore subscription again from the 'About TFP' page. Maybe throw that fix in a future build. :)

You so aren’t on my Christmas card list anymore! I totally lost an argument with the developer over what users would expect in the update were working on. ?
