Which LED light how many

I will be installing a 20x40’ Mountain Loch (like a kidney with an extra pump out) vinyl In-ground pool next spring.

Will 1 light be enough, will 2 be too much? Looking at either the 12 volt Pentair or Hayward. Color changing on one transformer.

Should I be looking at a different light style, 1 of those or 2?

Also, are the Pentair and Hayward enter changeable in their housing?

We have a 16x30 foot pool and have three color changing lights. It looks beautiful, however, we rarely used them because they certainly attract the bugs during the summer when we use the pool. Pretty to look at though.

What shape pool? Any pictures?

Pentair GloBrites use a proprietary housing that no other lights fit.

Pentair MicroBrites fit a 1 1/2” standard pipe.

I never see this problem mentioned. one reason I would never bother with in-pool lights. I keep a porch light on just to keep them outside of the house. LOL

my review of pentair globrites--pictures included--I'm stuck with these--I would get something if possible that's interchangeable with different brand if neccessary

just out of warranty--expired within 2 weeks of each other--niche holder for these lights are just for pentair globrites, so other lights won't work--I'm stuck. I agree with another post I read, these are LED, water tight, and should have lasted many years. Have had diving computers and...

Our globrites are still working (its only been 2 years), but had i known the housings were proprietory, i would have requested the PB go with something else.
