okay so does anybody know anything about fertilizer being in pool water and making it impossible to get a chlorine reading? I have dumped about 10 gallons of shock into my pool not to mention probably 10 bags of shock prior to that. the guy that opens and closes my pool is telling me my pool is loaded with fertilizer but when I asked how he knows that he doesn't tell me he does not use test kits either.
Also this has not been mentioned to me and maybe it's not a concern right now but what about algaecide?
Thank you for that. Do you know anything about fertilizer getting into a pool Or using stuff to get phosphates out of the water and phosphates blocking the chlorine? I don't use fertilizer in my yard but the three surrounding neighbors do
okay everybody I'm getting a little bit smarter and searched on your forums about phosphates and learned what I needed to learn. I will continue to check your forums from now on rather than bothering you guys but when I do test for my chlorine today I will send my results or use the pool calculator. I did not realize the wealth of knowledge I can learn from the forums. I'm getting there LOL
