After a week of TFPC, I’m all in. My pool looks better than ever. I’m still testing FC, CC, PH, and CH (plaster pool) daily. I’m currently managing a 60 CYA but will plan to reduce that with a partial drain at some point. I’ll plan to test CYA monthly. Can I get away with testing TA weekly?
My test results over the past two days:
FC - 10/8
CC - .5/.5
PH - 7.6/7.6
TA - 90/90
CH - 260/260
CYA - 60
CSI - -.12/-.15
Since most levels are at or close to acceptable levels, I think the only thing I’ll need to do tonight is add Liquid Chlorine to make up for the 2ppm loss over the last 48 hours (range for my CYA is FC 5-9 so I do have some wiggle room, right?) Do I need to perform an overnight loss test or is it possible that the loss is normal loss due to sun exposure? My pool does get full sun all day. It is crystal clear and I have full pressure on my filter since I cleaned it and replaced the cartridges a week ago.
Am I on the right track?
Thanks!
